Own production in Spain

Since November 2023, Kompany has had Spanish cucumbers in its assortment. 

Production and cultivation

This winter, Spanish Kompany cucumbers will be available for the first time. These are grown in cooperation with a renowned Spanish grower, José Guillén who was already established in the Almeria region with his company Agricolas Coco. Kompany has formed a joint venture with Agricolas Coco called CoKompany and as such has also invested in its own cultivation in Spain. The cucumbers from this production will, of course, be marketed by Kompany.

In addition, Kompany has made arrangements with the same partner to market its remaining cucumbers. As a result of this cooperation and investment, Kompany will be marketing approximately 27 ha of cucumbers from Spain starting this winter, directly from the source. This is also the way for Kompany to market this product. As an extension of the grower and the cultivation, Kompany is the pre-eminent partner for the market when it comes to cucumbers. With the years of knowledge of cultivation, the merging of knowledge with foreign cultivation and the proven knowledge of the market and sales, Kompany expects with this step to have found another better answer to the market and customer demand for year-round reliable and high quality product.
